1st time in a Private Plane and Private Island - Balesin Part 3

in #travel7 years ago (edited)

For the past 2 days, I have been motivated to blog more following the encouragements of fellow Steemians. If you have missed out, you may click these links to explore my adventures of visiting the many villages in a private island called Balesin in the Philippines.

Part 1: https://steemit.com/travel/@victary/1st-time-in-a-private-plane-and-private-island-balesin-part-1
Part 2: https://steemit.com/travel/@victary/1st-time-in-a-private-plane-and-private-island-balesin-part-2

In the previous series, I talked about how I had the chance of a work trip to Balesin and a video showing the journey of flying there in a private plane. Flying into the private island is only by membership, which cost millions. So i am super grateful for that opportunity.

I am not very sure when will be my next time there. Probably if we turned millionaires for being a loyal Steemian? I would love to hangout with Steemians there once we do! :)

After my client brought us to the village "Toscana", we headed for the next village "Mykonos". My client whispered, "you'll love this".

Now this is the most exciting post for me overall in this series because I loveeeeee Santorini! Any haters of Santorini here?

This recreation of the famous Greek Isle is aesthetically distinctive with its whitewashed walls, blue windows and doors, and winding cobblestone roads. For a moment I thought I was lost in Santorini. If I wanted to throw a big party or wedding beach party, this would be the ideal location. A very romantic place to be.

Here each buildings were named after the gods and goddesses of Greek mythology - Apollo, Artemis, Athena, Poseidon, Dionysios, and Hermes.

My favourite part of the buildings is the Poseidon. A pool acts as a centerpiece of the interior, streaming waters flow towards the outer part. From the inside it is as though the pool and the Pacific Ocean are one, bringing peace and tranquility into the area. Felt like I could laze here forever. The big blue pots bring a sense of balance as well to the pool area.

After being here for the longest time amongst the other villages, we had to bid adios to this beautiful paradise unwillingly. The next village was "Bali", a theme somehow closer to my home Malaysia.

Famous for its relaxing ambiance and unique architecture, "Bali" stayed true in its recreation here with tall coconut trees surrounding the buildings, like a waving hand welcoming you into its presence. When the winds blew, it was pretty therapeutic.

Somehow I wondered what will it look like at night with its dimly-lit walkways and the gazillion stars above, ahhh so many places to be romantic on Balesin. Even if you're unromantic, bring your life partner here and I believe the rest will take care of itself.

Sadly, like every great chapter of your life comes an end to it. After touring all these beautiful villages, we were put on a plane and flew back into Manila.

Since we are at the end of the photo series, do let me know which is your favorite village in Balesin and why? Would love to hear your style and preference.

Thank you so much for reading through. Do follow and UPVOTE. Let's stay connected!

The fact that they were named after greek gods is like a +10 to awesome!
