I don't travel as much as I would like but from what I have done this so true. I was in Victoria Falls in 2000 when it was dangerous and the people were so grateful I had visited. In fact in Africa I felt so safe much more so than UK that's for sure. India was the same very free and friendly people cops sell weed and smoking outside the police station.
