Punta del Diablo, Uruguay - the finest beaches around

in #travel7 years ago (edited)

Pictures from a weekend trip to Punta Del Diablo. A laid-back former fishing village now popular among surfers and backpackers thanks to it's amazing beaches. The first thing that crossed my mind is that although a bit far away, Europeans would crowd the beaches, if only they knew of these vast, empty beaches in the middle of their darkest winter.

Many of the buildings were cozy summer-huts alongside the beach.

The Nearby Santa Teresa natural reserve provided some of the greatest, most untouchable beaches that exists.
