Der Küstenabschnitt zwischen Härnösand und Örnsköldsvik steht auf der Liste der Unesco als Weltnaturerbe. Viele Landerhebungen und Fjorde prägen die Landschaft. Zwei schöne Tage mit Wandern konnten wir hier verbringen. Wir wollten uns mit einem bequemen Hotelbett und Dusche verwöhnen, da es immer noch Hochsaison ist war es allerdings schwierig eine freie Unterkunft zu finden. Wir wichen daher auf die nördlich gelegene Stadt Örnsköldsvik aus. Am Abend Essen wir jeweils auswärts. Im Pinchos lernen wir eine neue Art Restaurant kennen. Mittels einer App bestellt man die Getränke an der Bar und das Essen direkt in der Küche. Eine Meldung der App verrät wann die Speisen zum Abholen bereit sind. Da es Schalen mit kleinen Speisen sind, bestellen wir gleich mehrmals. Bevor man geht bezahlt man auch über die App und mittels Kreditkarte. Nicht ganz billig aber eine lustige neue Erfahrung.

The coastal section between Härnösand and Örnsköldsvik is on UNESCO's list of World Heritage Sites. Many hills and fjords characterize the landscape. Two beautiful days with hiking we could spend here. We wanted to treat ourselves with a comfortable hotel bed and shower. As it is still high season it was difficult to find a place to stay. We therefore switched to the northern city of Örnsköldsvik. In the evenings we ate dinner out. In Pinchos we get to know a new kind of restaurant. By an app you order the drinks at the bar and the food directly in the kitchen. A message of the app reveals when the food is ready to pick up. Since there are bowls with small dishes, we order several times. Before you go, you also pay via the app and by credit card. Not cheap but a fun new experience.

Nun zu den Wanderungen. Als erstes sind wir auf den 286 m.ü.M. Skuleberget gelaufen. Ein etwas steiler Weg führ durch Wald zum Gipfel Restaurant. Obwohl die Sesselbahn nicht in Betrieb war, gab es hier oben erstaunlich viele Leute. Das Panorama über die Höga Kuste ist herrlich. Wir begaben uns auf die gut ausgeschilderte Rundwanderung und waren erstaunt, dass wir nun plötzlich „alleine“ unterwegs waren. Knorrige Bäume, vertrocknete Gräser, den Blick ins saftig grüne Tal und die dunkelblauen Fjorde.

But now to the hikes. First, we were climbing on to Skuletberget on 286 m above sea level. A steep path through forest runs up to the summit restaurant. Although the chairlift was not in operation, there were a surprising number of people up there. The panorama over the Höga Küsten is magnificent. We went on the well signposted circular walk and were amazed that we were suddenly "alone" on the way. Gnarled trees, withered grasses, the view of the lush green valley and the dark blue fjords.

Den zweiten Tag verbrachten wir im Skuleskogen Nationalpark. Vom Südeingang ging es über einen Bretterpfad in den Wald. Wir fühlten uns fast wie im Urwald, der Boden ist dicht bewachsen und die Bäume ziemlich hoch. Auf Naturpfad geht es weiter über knorrige Wurzeln und viele runde Steine. Mitten im Wald gibt sogar grosse Steinfelder. Als erstes klettern wir auf den Slattdalsberget und geniessen die Aussicht auf die Umgebung. Anschliessend begeben wir uns zur Slattdalsskreven, ein kurzer und beeindruckender Canyon. Steile Wände ragen zu beiden Seiten in die Höhe, der Weg ist steinig. Weiter geht es am See Tärnättvattnen zur Küste und von da zurück zum Ausgang.

The second day we spent in Skuleskogen National Park. From the south entrance, over a wooden path we went into the forest. We felt almost like in the jungle, the soil is densely overgrown and the trees are quite high. On nature trail we continue on gnarled roots and many round stones. In the middle of the forest are even large stone fields. First, we climb on the Slattdalsberget and enjoy the views of the surroundings. Then we head to Slattdalsskreven, a short and impressive canyon. Steep walls rise up on both sides, the path is rocky. We continued to Tärnättvattnen, on to the coast and from there back to the exit.
