It portrays appearances of four powerful American presidents – George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln
The appearances on the Mount Rushmore have a stature of a 6-story building. The eyes of every President are 11 feet wide and nose are 20 feet long
The development of this landmark began in 1927 and it took an additional 14 years for the culmination.
It's on my list of 'things to see'.
What stone is it?
I think it is made of sedimentary stone !
