I've launched Steemit's first #underwaterphoto weekly challenge with a reward of 1 SBD to the chosen winner each week.
Here's how to win the 1 SBD this week:
Every Monday EST, I will post the new weekly challenge for underwater photography submissions that will be open for 7 days. The prize for the winning photo each week is 1 SBD.
STEP 1: Submit the best underwater photo you took during your travels in the COMMENTS section along with a short description (30-50 words max please).
STEP 2: Upvote and re-steem this post using #underwaterphoto to help the challenge grow and develop.
STEP 3: The following Monday, 7 days after the weekly challenge release, I will select the best underwater picture and the winner will receive 1 SBD. As the contest grows, I hope to increase the prize payouts.
This week's challenge runs May 14th - May 21st, 2018.

I took this photo a few weeks ago in the coast of Mazunte, Oaxaca, Mexico.
Not sure the name of this kind of fish but I have seen them everywhere from the Atlantic in Colombia to the Pacific in Mexico.

Hello again ! :) This time a photo shot with a XiaoYi Sports Camera during my honeymoon trip to Tanzania. To be exact it was taken next to Mnemba Island - called "Millionaire's Island" by the locals ( they'll tell you it is owned by Bill and Melinda Gates or was owned by Steve Jobs :) ). In fact it's a luxury lodge (1200$ per person per night - with max 24 guests on the island )

Thanks. I live in the NE U.S. where we have very cold water and we have the other types of lobsters :). Quick video here if you're interested in how we catch them.

I already entered that other still for this week so this one was just for fun. I've got hundreds of other underwater photos I've taken over the years and I'll look forward to sharing more of them in the future. Thanks again for running the contest - a fun idea.

Hi @underwaterwoman! My entry for the #underwatephoto challenge and this photo was taken at a Palms and Terraces Resort near our place with a huge olympic pool. The photo was shot using Samsung A7, a waterproof selfie phone best for underwater photos. Appreciate the invitation @underwaterwoman, thank you very much!😄❤

YELLOW FINS FISH!
I took this photo in San Agustin, Oxaca, Mexico.
Is a beautiful bahia with a big coral reef, unfortunately all of them is dead. This is was a school of fish with no scary of humans, I was so impressive to see all of them swimming around me with no fear.
