Worldtrip! Our roadtrip continues to lovely Queenstown

Here is our next post about New Zealand. The country that has stolen our heart.
This time a short blog about the excursions we did so far. Enjoy!

So our roadtrip through the soudern island of New Zealand just started and already got us really excited for the rest of the trip.

After the beautiful lakes we ended up in Queenstown where we heard a lot of good stories about and where you can book a lot of excursions. We had to plan carefully cause we were so unlucky with the weather! It's the coldest and worst summer ever!
So we kept an eye on weather forecasts and it turned out we had to book all our excursions on the same day. But what to do with such bad weather... After a few drinks in one of the many local bars we decided to book a nice hotel again because uhmm... After a few days on these horrible campings, we really needed a thorough shower and refreshment .
The hotel had been a good choice. We enjoyed a long hot shower and nice TV shows with chips in bed. Yes! We felt alive again!

The next morning we were ready for the first excursion! THE Jetboat!
This is a boat that races through a cliff with 85 k/h and makes 360 degrees spins.
It was so awesome! Only…. Once again an almost dead experience of both of us. One of the last spins was so fierce, that we both almost fell out of the boat. Nik half standing in the boat so far she was pushed up and Car with half of her body over the railing. Luckily there were no rocks on the side. But it was awesome!

Quickly we went back to the center for the famous hamburgers in town. You have to stand in line for about 25 minutes but it's worth it!

Unfortunately, our next excursion was canceled because of the wind... SAY WHAT! What wind! We just came back from the park where we laid down in the sun... WITHOUT wind! But, of course, that can be very different in the mountains. We moved the date... So we will write about that excursion soon! It was the most scary thing we ever did so stay tuned!
