As a former resident of 'ffffffangaray' you had my interest immediately @bucketlist Sounds like you were confronted with the good, the bad and the down right ugly whilst 'tiki' touring the normally sane, good natured residents of Northland. Your images of the 'Town Basin' and the Whangarei waterfalls sent little spasms of nostalgia down my back and I suffered twinges of jealousy momentarily.......until I came to the part when you needed to relieve yourself . You didn't walk out of those toilets feeling the least bit relieved did you?. Poor you! Ruakaka is a picturesque place but the scenery changes drastically when dealing with the landlady from hell. I'm pleased the glow worm caves shed a different light on things and hopefully left you with a desire to visit the, "Land of the Long, White Cloud' again some time. I'd love to do one of those microlight flights. How exhilarating! Following; in order not to miss out on further anecdotes (both good and bad) and seeing where your adventurous spirit leads you.
