FlashBack Friday - EDC 2012

The anticipation builds as you excitedly half run/skip to the entrance, heart pounding with the beat of the music, and with sweaty palms you open the door to be engulfed by the pure ecstasy that is the world of EDM.

This, this is the feeling that runs through my veins with every festival, concert, and event I have attended. The atmosphere, the people, the whole experience is one that is incomparable. So…. when the opportunity presented itself to have this experience in Puerto Rico, my boyfriend and I jumped on it. First year of EDC Puerto Rico, we’re in there!!

September finally arrived and it was time to take the party down south. We stayed at the Caribe Hilton in San Juan which was a beautiful hotel with great ocean views. There were plenty of food options, a pool, hammocks, an accessible beach, as well as a casino a short walk away.

As beautiful as everything was, I couldn't stop thinking about the festival and anxiously awaiting it to begin... and finally... The day arrived. A short taxi ride to the venue and here we are ready to have the time of our lives.

When we first arrived, it was still early and things hadn't quite picked up yet so we took time to explore the different stages. Once the party started going, we began riding the carnival rides before the lines were hours long! As the night progressed, the air was filled with heart pounding bass as we made new friends, exchanged candies with people from all over the world, and lived the experience that was EDC Puerto Rico 2012.
