Fishing for the elusive Giant Snakehead in Thailand near the Burma border [Photo Gallery]
If you want to see another awesome fishing report I recently did, check out:
My River Monsters Adventure - A Fishing trip of a lifetime!
Taking the ferry.
They weren't sure where to put the tube holding my fishing rods, so they put it across the walkway. Luckily nobody tripped over it.
My 5 star accommodation.
Catching some tilapia for dinner.
A Thai cigarette. They taste like grass from your yard.
Cutting up banana palm to feed to the water buffalo.
Arrived at our first location.
Searching for good places to cast our lures.
First fish in the boat and it's a nice one!
Next fish was a bit smaller.
Beautiful Thai countryside.
The Thai guys on the shore were using live bait. This is what a snakehead will do when it misses your hook.
We were also using live eels for bait.
Next day a new location, but unfortunately no fish that day.
Netting live bait.
This baby snakehead bit my lure. Baby snakeheads are red and then get darker when they get bigger.
Lunch.
We took the boat in and started fishing from the shore. They were biting good from shore.
I got a strong bite, set the hook, and landed this big guy! You can see the eel that he bit near my hand.
And then a smaller one.
Last picture at sunset.
That's the end of my trip!
