So Cheap - From Bangkok to Cambodia for under 2 Dollar -Travel with Salime & Timo
On our journey across Southeast Asia, we travel most of the time by train. The reasons: It is hugely cheap and we can establish a much deeper contact with the locals than if we simply fly to the next country by plane.
Train Ticket from Bangkok to Cambodia
When we had enough after 3 weeks of Bangkok, we decided to go to Cambodia. We compared the usual three routes: plane, bus and train. Quite quickly, the train has emerged as the most favorable variant. Our route: Bangkok City to Aranyaprathet. (Border with Cambodia)
The train trip had lasted over 5.5h and the price per person was at 48 Thai Baht. . If you consider that the Friedrice restaurant costs just as much, you will not understand the world anymore. (At least we were so)
Our trip started at 5:55 am. I have to say it was a very pleasant trip to Cambodia to .... yes, to the border crossing. But that's another story in another article. :-)
Tip: If possible, buy the tickets directly at the counter, because agencies that offer their travels throughout Asia and transport anywhere can beat the price. It sometimes takes a bit of effort and time to get information, but it's worth it.
Great side effect: You always get to know new people and know you much better than when you buy ready-made tours. You develop the feeling of what costs and does not fall so easily into the hands of the tugs, which would sell you overpriced.
Important: The state railway company has no Internet connection where you can officially buy the tickets. All you have to buy at the internet is tickets. Train tickets are only available at the ticket counter in the train stations at the lowest price.
Greetings and a lot of fun on your next trip,

Da hab ich doch direkt mal den deutschen Artikel gelesen,
um den englischen verstehen zu können. 😀
Was meinen die bloß mit "tugs"? Ah, wahrscheinlich "thugs" und im deutschen Artikel hab ich dann kapiert, die meinen "touts", denn "tugs" sind die Boote.
I can see, you really know you very good out and you must have taken English for runaways.
Aber tröstet euch:
English is on of the most easy language to speak bad, but on of the difficultiest to speak good.
Danke dir, ja beim englischen schleichen sich leider ein paar fehler ein. Sind nicht perfekt englisch sprechend...
