Go to Table Mountain, they said. Amazing view, they said.
I've been hiking a lot of places in the world but none as bizarre as Table Mountain. Recommended by our Uber driver, we startet our accent toward the top from Kirstenbosch - a lush botanical haven 20 min from Cape Town CBD.
Gambling this fog would go away = bad idea
Half-way to the top...not exactly a stunning vista...
The pathway we chose is called Skeleton Gorge and our Uber driver was right, it was a really gorgeous start. However, after making our way up the foggy, near vertical pathway, the visibility shrunk to almost zero. In addition, the wind picked up to the point where we were almost fighting to stand upright - time to get down.
You know it's time to abandon ship when you can barely see your hiking buddy 4 meter in front of you
Table Mountain, you won this round. We didn't see a single thing. On a positive note, we met some new friends on the way down who were just as surprised by the weather as we were:) @Naadhiramahomed will be joining us soon on Steemit - thanks guys for making the last stretch so enjoyable.

Man, Sorry you didn't get that excellent view. Table mountain was one of our favorite excursions ever. The views were incredible since we were so lucky to not have clouds that day. We also loved the town of Hermanus and watching the wales there. Following!

Things don't usually turn out the way we want, but that isn't inherently bad :P Not that you seemed bummed out by it, quite the contrary actually!

Litt uheldig med været der ja, men ser ut til det ble en hyggelig opplevelse til tross for dårlig sikt. Morsomt å rekruttere folk på veien da! Skulle tro du var på misjonsreise ;)
