Remarkable Places: Cinque Terre, Italy
Allover the world there are incredible and unique places. We @travelingstories want to bring them to you so that you can be inspired to visit them!
Today, our post is about the beautiful Cinque Terre!

Cinque Terre is a set of “Five Lands” (“cinque” = five and “Terre” = “land”, in Italian) by the sea, a rugged portion of the West coast of Northern Italy, at about two hours from Florence (Firenze) by car or regional train. The whole region is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
This is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Italy and one you shouldn’t miss on your trip through Tuscany, the region of wine, green hills, good food and amazing cities like Pisa, Florence and Siena. Oh! And hidden gems like San Gimignano!
(Well, technically, Cinque Terre is not in Tuscany, but in Linguria, though they are really close to each other :) )

The “Five Lands” that form Cinque Terre are Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. They are sorted from North to South and each one of them is almost only accessible by train or boat. And this is one of the most spectacular characteristics of this region: it’s almost inaccessible by car and the train route through it is incredible!
A set of tunnels, hills, rails right next to the sea will make your experience at Cinque Terre even better! Besides that, we also recommend taking a boat between the different “lands”: it will give a different perspective of the place…

What we also recommend you is to carefully plan your trip to Cinque Terre, if you’re not thinking of stay there the night. The Five Lands are close to each other (roughly 10-minute train ride between adjacent towns), but you’ll be amazed with the amount of time you dedicate to wonder each one of them…

We @travelingstories will continue to post on our Cinque Terre experience, covering three of the towns (we didn’t have enough time to visit all of them) and useful tips for you to get the most out of this amazing place, so stay tuned and Bon Voyage!
The concept of the city looks cool
Looks affordable to plan a trip to
And the mountain topography is also wonderful
It looks calm and cultural, and the idea of connecting all 5 towns with One rail system helps save time and resources
Definitely another place to check out while in Italy
