One way to scape

in #travel7 years ago

I have disappeared a few months of this new project that I started in December, I will tell you why in other posts later.
Today I return to tell you about these places where I love to go when I want to disconnect from everything and feel the peace that nature gives us so easily if you are willing to leave your cell to one side and listen to it.

These are my two most recurrent, the first is the Mucubají lagoon, located in the Sierra Nevada Park, in the state of Merida of Venezuela, its altitude is between 3625-3655 meters above sea level. In certain seasons it tends to be a very popular place for tourists since it has a beautiful view, horse rides, among other factors. In my case, it is a place where I usually go to contemplate the calm that this lagoon causes me, to make walks towards the other lagoons, to relax and enjoy the view. I will put a photo here to see if you're with me.

This photo was taken 3 years ago, I ran with the luck to go a day in which the sun was present and everything was seen more clearly than many times, you will see, because it is a place located at such height tends to be full of fog.

Now, this other one is something new since I have not yet completed a year going to it, but I am sure that I will. The Cable Car System of Mérida - Mukumbarí. This has 5 stations, each with a different name and height, these are: Barinitas (1,577 masl), La Montaña (2,436 masl), La Aguada (3,452 masl), Loma Redonda (4,045 masl) and Pico Espejo (4,765 masl)

The ascent is made by some cabins that move at an average speed of 5 m / s thanks to a wire which is moved by the thrust of an engine. While you are heading to your next station you can enjoy the view that you are leaving behind, if you are on your way to the Pico Espejo station or returning to the initial station, Barinitas.
I could not take many pictures because the day of my visit the fog covered the entire landscape from the second to the last station, however, my sister captured me while I watched the view down in the third station, here I show you the magnitude of the fog that had that day

I'm not going to lie to you, the cold was bearable but for what I managed to observe in the other people who, like me, made the journey, not everyone shared my thoughts. At such height your body is exposed to suffer from some symptoms, the most common, so to speak, is the lack of oxygenation in the brain, this can cause dizziness, headache, yawning in excess, fainting, feeling tired, between others; However, it's not something that should stop you from living that relaxing experience as it is to see everything from above, and with such a great climate, you just have to be aware of them so that you know that if you feel any of them is your time to go back down.

Each station has places where you can enjoy either a coffee, food, or to eat something sweet, here I leave some photos with which you can get a better idea of how these places are, in this case, the place to observe is the last station in one of my visits with my sister, a sunny day with more to see

Once we go out, it was impossible for me not to ask my sister, who that day was my photographer to take a last picture, because that day this small forest needed to be exhibited

Mukumbarí means in indigenous voice "place where the sun sleeps". This is how the first inhabitants tell what is now known as the imposing Sierra Nevada

I am a person who really enjoys knowing and living new things, and every time I go back to those places I feel like it's the first time I do it, this is why i invite you to do it as I do whenever I can.
