Hostel on wheels - Take a look at the inside of our converted school bus

Hi everyone,

I have showed you some of the destinations we have been to and some of the activities we like to do. I think it is time to show the inside of our rolling hostel. The fun thing about creating something that has never been created before, is that you get a blank canvas and get to do it completely your way. The downside of this is, that you don't have a lot of examples and that you have to figure everything out yourself. Countless hours and days have gone into almost anything we had to decide to create the optimal use of space for a 8 person camper/hostel. For example how high should the seats be, how wide are we going to make the hallway, how many doors are we going to put in and how thick do they need to be? What kind of fridge do we put in, what kind of stove, how will we heat up water, how much space should there be between the bunk beds, what kind of insulation do we need, etc...

A million things we had to think about, but we super happy with the end result!

This is the bed our guests sleep in, we made usb ports in the wall so each person can charge their phones easily.

One side of the kitchen, we created quite a lot of cupboards to store all the plates and supplies.

The entrance to our hostel, also some storage space close to the ceiling.

The mirror gives you a peak into our shower, it is small, but it does the trick :)

A wider view on the kitchen, with our drawers for cutlery and lots of other kitchen tools. This is the best equipped kitchen we have ever had in our lives.

The sitting area to eat dinners and play boardgames.

Our own bedroom is in the back of the bus and Fenna's bed is bit up higher across, she loves to climb into it.
