Milky Way in Majorca - Photo a Day #3 by Tony Boyle

This is by far my all time favorite photo I took from 2017!

I was out in Majorca Spain shooting a wedding at the gorgeous Son Marroig wedding venue when me and my assistant snuck away to photograph the milky way. We spent a good 30 minutes here just enjoying the sheer size beauty of it. If you ever find yourself in a really really remote part of your country with no light pollution I highly recommend you just stand outside and just look up.

Within a couple of minutes your eyes will adjust and you'll be able to see a slightly whiter part of the night sky just towering above you, this is the milky way. I've been to pretty dark areas in the globe but this, on the side of a mountain overlooking the sea, is probably the brightest I've ever seen the Milky Way.

It's one of those things that will give me chills every time. I hard to not just stand there and realise how small we actually in the grand scheme of things, just floating around on our tiny little rock!
