RE: 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Asian Sunday week #27 - the absolute winner takes 200 SBD!
This is my photo of Meridian Gate (Vietnamese: Ngọ Môn), is the main gate to the Imperial City, Huế, located within the citadel of Huế. Meridian Gate (Vietnamese: Ngọ Môn) is the main entrance in the south and the largest one in four main gates of Hue Citadel. This is an architectural work owning the highest value in the architectural ensemble of Nguyen Dynasty still existing today. Architecturally, It was modeled after the Meridian Gate of the Forbidden City in Beijing, China, yet it still clearly reflected the architectural style of Vietnam.
What a wonderful entry! Thank you so much for your submission. Tomas
