Travel Without Plans - My Way OR Intuition Way
I am going to fly tomorrow to Mexico City first day of my 17 days of from work. I have booked only my first night at the hotel and the rest I will leave it as it comes. I don't have a list of touristic places I need to tick and I prefer to experience and enjoy the real life and culture with more sun hopefully than in UK. And I am planing to use the metro, smile to locals and have plenty of walks.
For sure I want to see a volcano that it was been my fascination since I've learned geography in the high-school as being the highest active volcano with a name that has musical resonance - at least in my language - Popocatepetl.
I've heard also they have a lot of caves - cenotes, so I might chase one of those. Of course plenty of old pyramids, so if I will be in historical mood I will find some entertainment. Who knows I might even stay by the beach few days and do nothing more than enjoy the sun. Everything is possible and I see where my inspiration will guide me. I do have at least 2 experiences that is most likely that I will make them happen: scuba-diving (as is one of the most amazing place in the world to do this and I will have the chance to use my certificate) and paragliding (maybe cross country, maybe not - I need to take a course at a point to have a license as I like it too much). Apart from that, I aim to find new passions, great friends on the road and new tastes, new flavours, new ways of seeing the world.
I love hostels as apart from the fact that are more arty/funky/hippies than the usual hotels, they have this great kind of cosy living room/pub where you get to know stories and find some whys. Is the place where magic is happening by default, because you are relaxed and more likely to share you real being. I am curious why people travel, why there, what's there meaning in life and so on. And I do ask this questions if I have the chance. Because I am genuinely interest of why we are doing what we are doing. I love to travel because I have the opportunity to meet different life (people, animals, flowers, rocks, mountains, butterflies) that will teach me something. I like to pay attention and to learn from very small details :) and the fact is I like being challenged and surprised.
So by backpack is ready, I am still thinking if I should take my laptop with me or not (an extra thing i need to take care). My passport, my card and my book are packed. So let's the show begin. I am ready for the adventure starting tomorrow morning.
Love y abrazos
PS I speak some Spanish, so I cannot wait to practice.
