Ille Aux Cerf

The Ille Aux Cerf off the East coast of Mauritius. To get to this paradise you take a small boat from Gran Gaube on the North coast, the trip takes about ten minutes on the boat floating across the azure blue water of the enclosed lagoon. A reef protects the island from the ravages of the Indian Ocean beyond. Here there are gems, mangroves creeping into the sea, small rivulets of water with small playful currents. Mark Twain was certainly right when he said Mauritius was made before heaven.
