Yes! It seems you have been there in the night.
Yes been to marine drive during my first visit to Mumbai 2 years back.. Not to forget the horse ride around the Taj hotel . These horse carriages decked up in lights and decorations at night makes you feel so special when you take a ride in them. I believe they have been banned now.
