The highlight of Wat Chedi Luang Worawihan is the Chedi Luang which is an ancient pagoda with a height of approximately 80 meters, a square base, and a width of 60 meters on each side.

It is considered the tallest pagoda in the North of Thailand and is also one of the most important pagodas in Chiang Mai.

There are 28 elephant statues surrounding the Chedi Luang. The elephant statues are believed to make the city stronger and bring prosperity and peace to the city; i.e. enemies will not dare to invade the city due to the names of the elephants.

Apart from the Chedi Luang, Phra Viharn of this temple is also magnificent.

In front of the entrance to the Phra Viharn, there is a beautiful Naga staircase with its tails intertwined to form the archway of the Phra Viharn.
