2. Walking

The University of Tokyo university goes down to the town again from a certain hill.

This neighborhood is "Minamicho 1 chome".

I will go to Kokubunji Station when I go this way.

I will walk towards Kokubunji Temple instead of heading towards the station.

I will walk through "Otakanomichi".

Kokubunji Park is a relaxing park of water and green centering around a circular lawn open space of 500 meters around. 引き続き、薬師如来を安置する本堂をはじめとした堂塔伽藍がそろい、八日堂のお薬師さんの名で近在の信仰を集めている国分寺のぶらり散歩をお届けします（前回の記事はこちら)。

2. Walking

東京経大学がある高台から再び街へと下っていきます。

この辺りは「南町一丁目」です。

「カントリロード、この道〜」。ジブリの「耳をすませば」主題歌を口ずさみます。

「一里塚第二」の交差点まで来ました。

こちらの道を行くと国分寺駅にいきます。

駅方面には行かず国分寺に向かって歩きます。

「お鷹の道」を歩きます。

道に迷わないように地図を見ます。

この辺りは「東元町三丁目27」です。

住宅街の中を歩いていきます。静かで住みやすそうな町です。

「泉町一丁目」の交差点に出てきました。

ここから国分寺公園へ行ってみたいと思います。

途中、音のテクノロジーで世界を変えるーリオネット補聴器のリオン株式会社がありました。

リオン株式会社は補聴器などを色々と取り扱っていますので、耳が聞こえない方はリオンの補聴器は如何でしょうか。

こちらが国分寺に住んでいる住民の憩いのスポット「都立武蔵国分寺公園」です。

行ってみましょう。

国分寺公園MAP。

国分寺公園は一周500ｍの円形芝生広場を中心とした水と緑のゆったりした公園です。池のまわりには延長33ｍ・幅3ｍの藤棚やノウゼンカズラの棚があり、開花期には公園を彩ります。

公園を一周回ってみます。

ここ都立武蔵国分寺公園がある場所は、国鉄時代の中央鉄道学園がありました。国鉄が債務を返済する為に、この中央鉄道学園敷地は売却されました。中央鉄道学園は鉄道に関わる教育施設で国分寺に当時敷かれていた下河原線（東京競馬場行きの路線）からここに引き込み線が敷かれていて外部と繋がっていました。当時敷地内には、教育の為に新幹線0系,101系電車,EF60形機関車などの古い鉄道車両が存在していました。

国分寺市は、由緒ある歴史と武蔵野の面影を残す住宅都市として、また水と緑に彩られた文化都市として発展してまいりました。更に、鉄道との関連が深い町でもあります。かつてこのあたり一帯には、旧国鉄の中央鉄道学園があり数多くの人がここで学び、その技術が現在のＪＲに引き継がれています。これを後世に伝えたいと願う関係者の熱意により、ここに鉄道のシンボルともいうべき蒸気機関車の動輪をモチーフとした記念碑が設置されました。

噴水を眺めていると時間が過ぎるのを忘れます。

とても広い公園です。
