My Travel to the Wat Pho Temple, Thailand

As some of you may know, I have had the awesome chance to live in Thailand for the last 3 months and I wanted to share some takeaways from my trip to the Wat Pho Temples. I took a lot more videos than photos which you can view in my post titled "Into the Grand Palace and Wat Pho Temples: Thailand"

The Wat Pho Temples is home to reclining Buddha, unfortunately it is so large, I could only take video of it so again please refer to my film about the temples to see more detail. The temple compound is made up of a series of statues lined one after another.

At the entrance of the grounds was a guard like statue on each side of the gates. The detail on each sculpture is magnificent as they sculpt hair styles, clothing, and the mosaic on the pillars next to the statue.

Here I try to capture what part of the area looked like with the towers everywhere you walk. These were some of the smaller structures as most were 30 - 40 feet high. But you can still see the amount of detail each piece took as every inch is covered with single pieces of mosaic.

Inside some of the temples are dedicated prayer areas where locals and others part of the Buddhist culture can partake in their religion free from tourist. Below is a photo of what the inside of one of the prayer rooms look like.

This last photo is my first attempt at an HDR image. I thought it would be cool since the clouds were starting to form just before it rained. Overall the trip was great and was a stress free environment. Remember to watch the video that is in more detail of the Grand Palace and Wat Pho Temple.
