Travel With Susanne - Orono, Maine and Visiting the Pride Celebration in Bangor

in #travel7 years ago (edited)

Maine is pretty and it reminds me of Norway. It's a huge contrast to dry Arizona, this is a humid experience.
The nature looks pretty much like Norway, withouth the mountains and the fjords. So I feel very at home here.

I'm still visiting @trinaskylar in Maine. She lives close to the beautiful Univerity of Maine
We were supposed to go to Canada today, but it rained so much this morning that we decided to do Canda tomorrow instead of today. We will visit a small coastal city called Saint Andrews. I'm super excited to see Canada for the first time.

After a few hours of shopping, we decided to go see the pride celebration in Bangor. That's a small and very friendly town just a few minutes away from Orono.

The streets were filled with tons of happy people.
Live music, food and good atmosphere all over the place!

Trina also took me to her favorite bookstore, where I bought an autobiography of Elon Musk. I'm so excited to get started on it.

Now we are getting ready to visit a local brewery and meet up with some locals. Wish me luck!

Beautiful seems like you had a nice day, still Norway/Sweden views are the best.(no offence just a personal opinion)

I have a feeling susanne won't be upset that you are accusing Norway of being the most beautiful place, will you susanne? ;-)

NOPE! Ha ha ha! :) It's like you know me ;)

Haha yep! I know how much you like it here - and how could you not!? It's seriously an amazing place, so deividas does raise a good point :)

I live in Norway, so I agree! Ha ha. Thanks for reading!

I like the "lobstah" place!

Maine looks very pretty! Thanks so much for share this nice photos!!! ^_^

It's ver pretty! And I love it. Thanks for reading.

You are very talented with photography! I would like to see more :)

Oh so great that you got to visit something completely different and outside the normal tourist places! Maine is definitely a beautiful place and much like Norway as you say. You might like visiting Vermont even more - you'll almost swear you are back in Norway :)

Kos dere i Canada :)

Yes, I'm not about all the most touristy stuff. It's pretty and calm here. Vermont? Really? Maybe I should go soon.
Tusen takk for det! :)

Yeah for sure, you'd love Vermont! It's honestly like you left the States for a new country. Almost everything is small town, local stuff. Hardly any chain restaurants and stuff like that which we have everywhere else in the US. Oh and go in the fall if you do go back - just Google "Vermont fall colors" and look at the pictures and you'll see why :)

awesome photo's, thank you for sharing

Thanks, and thank you for reading and leaving a reply.

You are welcome, it is always nice with some feedback

So dopeeee I should plan a trip there soon

It was really cool. Yes, you should! I love small towns.

Great post.

What do think of the prices in Maine, compared to Norway. I've visited Oslo and the surrounding area a couple of times. It is beautiful, but very expensive.
