Toubkal is a mountain peak in southwestern Morocco, located in the Toubkal National Park. At 4,167 metres (13,671 ft), it is the highest peak in the Atlas Mountains, Anti Atlas, North Africa and the Arab World. It is an ultra prominent peak located 63 km south of the city of Marrakesh, and is a popular destination for climbers.
STEPS : STEP 1 Marrakech -> 2 Village Imlil -> 3 the refuge -> 4 Mountain TOUBKAL
DAY 1 : Marrakech -> to Imlil 1740m
Imlil is the last village accessible by road before the ascent of the famous Mount Toubkal, the highest point of the Moroccan Atlas.

After you go up the beautiful village of Aremd then to the refuge (3100 m) (6-hour walk from IMLIL, You will spend the night in refuge). You can take tea and meals at the refuge, otherwise you can bring your tents with you.

DAY 2: Ascension of the Toubkal (4167 m)
The mountain of the Toubkal high point of North Africa with its 4167 m; it is a fabulous place with a wonderful panorama, The climb is made without major difficulty. You will feel a great feeling on the summit of North Africa and Morocco.
Most hikers take the road around 4am to arrive at the summit at 10am or 11am to take pictures and enjoy the scenery for 1h maximum. After the return to IMLIL .
It is enough to go down to the refuge (ideally before noon), to return on the same way and arrive before nightfall in the village of Imlil. From there, you can spend another night or directly back to Marrakech. This Moroccan adventure is possible independently and economically for a total of $ 120
EQUIPMENT: LIGHT AND HOT PREVIEW :
Provide a warm sleeping bag, good walking shoes, hiking poles, warm things: jacket, fleeces, gloves, headlamp, hats ... first aid kit. Also provide a backpack for your picnic, bottle of water...
