That looks like fun! I wish I could go on a gondola ride. I also miss walking down those lovely, twisting, narrow streets that you see in European cities.
Enjoy Venice while you can... I've heard that it is increasingly threatened by rising sea levels and the fact that it's slowly sinking.
I've never been on a cruise, but was offered an art vendor (of all things) position on one one.
It is sinking, but not by rising sea levels. It's just sinking because what they were built on. You can see some of the buildings have sunk faster than others and the 1st floor is underwater, so they just move up one floor :)
And yes, gotta love the European cities!

Italy is still on my pending list and I so much want to visit it soon. Your pictures are beautiful, loved the sunset one best. I am so eager to experience this place.
