Guilin: A Destination to Experience Once in a Lifetime
Though the mountains remain aloof, I shall seek them out. It is said that "Guilin's scenery is unrivaled under heaven"; only by witnessing it firsthand can one truly appreciate its picturesque allure.
Since my return from Guilin, my social media has been flooded with inquiries. I have compiled a list of exceptionally scenic and enjoyable locations to recommend to you. Treat this comprehensive guide with care!
✨ Recommended Itinerary:
🌟 1. Upon arrival in Guilin, take a leisurely stroll along the Li River, and witness the beauty of Elephant Trunk Hill, the emblem of Guilin. In the evening, explore the Cultural Palace and Zhengyang Pedestrian Street for culinary delights; indulging in food and drink to rejuvenate yourself.
🌟 2. Cruise the Li River, enjoying the scenery along the way. Take photographs of Nine Horses Mountain and the view featured on the 20 RMB banknote. In the afternoon, visit the resplendent Yinyan Cave, arguably Guilin’s most beautiful. In the evening, sample Guilin's renowned beer on West Street, and unwind with live music and a refreshing drink.
🌟 3. Explore the Ten-Mile Gallery by electric scooter, a convenient way to traverse this picturesque route. Here, every turn unveils a scene worthy of poetry, allowing one to forget all cares.
🌟 4. Embark on a bamboo raft drift along the Yulong River, from the Shui'edi to Wanjiang section, traversing nine weirs. The most popular spot is the final weir, an exhilarating experience.
🌟 5. Visit the Longji Terraces, and witness the sunset from Viewing Platform No. 2 and the sunrise from Viewing Platform No. 1.
