20,000 POUNDS with LOGS as SUPPORTS? Only in MEXICO!

Still down here in Mexico and enjoying the warm weather and all around beauty! We were coming to the end of our stay at one of the RV parks and as always, we have routine check-ups to follow and complete. While taking a look at our list and walking the rig, I had Jason (husband) check in more details about a peculiar sound I had heard every time we went over a little speed bump.

Sure, enough we noticed that a part of the axle didn't look right. After writing back and forth to a few RV repair friends, we were told to stay put and get it fixed!

The good news was, it wasn't that part after all requiring QUITE a LOT of work to be done, instead a bracket to our axle actually broke and we were in desperate need of a welder!

So...next thing we knew, we were lifting 20,000 pounds on LOGS!

Yep, you read it correctly! Well, we couldn't pull our trailer anywhere because it wouldn't be safe, so we had to get some tools and men out here to life our rig!

These guys lift BIG RIGS all the time and they do it by putting logs under these massive trucks so they can lift them to service any parts underneath!

Well, our rig was no different. And in 3-hours we had our rig lifted, a welder out for his 30-minute weld and our rig safely lowered back to the ground! And the best part, it only cost $60!

It was an experience to say the least! And what we have learned since RVing is..."STUFF HAPPENS!"
