Do you know more about who the architects themselves were (if that's even possible to track down)? I wonder what it was like training to be an architect for this style, compared to some of the designs found in other communist countries at the time. Fascinating stuff.

Alot of what was specifically shown in my article has been renovated since Poland transitioned away from communism. The town in the pictures specifically is Pińczów. There's a quarry in Pińczów which provided stone for many projects, including the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw. Thanks for the comment and be sure to read the next article tomorrow!

What I find interesting, is that architecture has a deep effect on our psychology.

Most people tend not to think of building this way, but architecture literally shapes our environment. We live in them, we work in them, they are manifestations of who we are just as anything else we create is.

I agree with what you said. Architecture is merely the manifestation of the human spirit and Poland's architecture reflects the Polish transition away from Communism.
