Cute little grocery store - Procida, Amalfi (Fun story)

Hi everyone! Not sure this post will reach people but this is my very first post, giving Steeming a shot and try the platform out. A new platform always require to adjust and try out all the functions it has to offer. So, here I go!

Location: Procida - an island next to the famous Amalfi coast, close to Ischia and Capri

There's a weird story behind this picture. My girlfriend and I planned our 10 day holiday to Napels and the Amalfi coast, which was awesome and expensive. However we tried to lower our costs by using AirBnB and public transport instead of hotels and a hired car, it was still an expensive travel. Anyway, definitely worth the money.

We had a whole schedule for this day, discovering Ischia with a hired scooter to see as much as possible. Bought the tickets to the ferry early in the morning and arrived just on time. Lucky shot!

Already after half an hour we arrived at Ischia, which normally took an hour. We hopped off the boat and went straight to the information store trying to get a map. We shortly discussed where we should be heading over to, which was "Sant Angelo". A cosy and small fishertown on Ischia with a beach surrounded (by the 2 sides) by an ocean. So I used Google maps to see how far this was.

My face suddenly stared in a confused way at my cellphone, seeing that to reach Sant Angelo we have to cross water. To make it short: this was not Ischia. We hopped off too early. We did not arrive in Ischia, but landed in Procida. An island between the Amalfi coast and Ischia. Yeah, like missing a bus stop, but with islands.

After a lot of ticket swaps for the ferry and the obligatory "how did this happen"-discussion, we actually enjoyed the island. By foot it's easy to reach the top of the island, which gives a breathtaking view on the island. It was worth the money! At noon we had the best pasta vongolé ever, just before leaving to our first destination: Ischia.
