Europe’s most beautiful canyon
Les Gorges du Verdon : Europe’s most beautiful canyon is located at south-eastern France,it's about 700 meters deep and 25 kilometres long.
Formed by the Verdon River it is distinguished for its splendid turquoise-green colour water.
The towns of Castellane and Moustiers-Sainte-Marie is where the most impressive part lies, the river has a ravine cut between to a depth of 700 metres through the limestones.
The Verdon River flows into the artificial lake of Sainte-Croix-du-Verdon at the end of the canyon.
Les Gorges du Verdon is also very popular with tourists,due to its proximity to the French Riviera, tourists can drive around it, rent kayaks or hike.
The tall limestone walls, also attract many rock climbers.
It is an outstanding destination for multi-pitch climbing because of its seemingly endless walls.

I have been many times in France because my mother lives there for the last 20 years. But I have Never heard of Les Georges du Verdon. What a beautiful place is that. Now I know that, I defenitly need to go there sometime. Thank you for sharing
