Ski tours in the alps - the original way of skiing
I’ve been an enthusiastic skier for all my life- always liked deep snow skiing better than groomed pistes. Not only because of crowded pistes, but for the different feeling in deep snow. Looking backwards and see the smooth “pattern” of the way you were going down- just great!
Also I’ve been thinking it’s not the real skiing when always taking a lift and it must feel so much better to first walk up to the summit and then going down from there.
However we finally did and I can tell you it’s been amazing!
These pictures were taken in the Austrian alps. And of course you need a professional guide and the right equipment as e.g. avalanche airbag...
