My visit to the Lion & Rhino nature reserve
Lion & Rhino nature reserve is near Krugersdorp (South Africa) was invited to join my husband @mokluc for a year end function. Last year we went to Suncity Pilanesberg National Park as a family on December holidays but unfortunately we never got to see many wild animals as expected.
This time however, we had a privilege to go on a game drive and see most of the wild animal.
Amazing to see this cute rhino cub...and really sad to hear there was an attempt of poaching recently at the same nature reserve.
As we start with the game drive...through this beautiful nature reserve
I was amazed to be so close to a White lion and shocked how often this lions mate in a day (we talking from to 40 times for a few days non stop)
A recessive gene gives white lions their unusual colors. A similar gene also produces white tigers. White lions can therefore be selectively bred for zoos, animal shows and wildlife parks. Such breeding involves inbreeding and can result in inbreeding depression (genetic defects, reduced fertility, and physical defects)
We do indeed have a beautiful country... and the best for foreigners is our weak currency makes it very affordable.
@themagus You right...The rand to dollar exchange at close to R14 makes it really easy
I came across this picture apparently from some Ugandan nature reserve...don't know what to make of it...I will just assume its a guided tour for disabled people...expensive technological advanced wheelchair
South Arica is definitely a beautiful country, and I only wish to go there again in the future :)
I liked your pictures too!
