My apologies for the delay of this weeks stream peeps. I was unable to do anything Steem wise for the past couple of days ever since the DLive fiasco. Negatives aside, I'm feeling much better now and ready to continue my Steem journey. Once again, my sincere apologies for the delay.

Welcome to the 33rd week of the #swmchallenge where we travel around the globe and try to bring up to light the most unique and special places or events worth visiting or putting on your travel bucket list. Each week here is filled with posts full of captivating scenery, stunning images and great stories. Basically, great travel blogs worth checking out. It's a fun tool made by @blueorgy and @martibis that allows you to pin your posts to a specific location or browse the world map where ideally every place on the map is a Steemit post. #swmchallenge is my attempt to make it more popular and build a community around it.

Travel blogs of the week

#1 Foggy Rio de Janeiro 大霧的巴西里約熱內盧

@livinguktaiwan is back again with another bomb travel story. This one is from a few years back and is taking us to Rio de Janeiro. She strolled along the Copacabana beach and then took a cable car up to Sugarloaf mountain where the fog almost made her invisible. Dissapointed by the fog, she went to see the famous Christ the Redeemer which was even more foggy. She ended her short trip with a visit to Maracana stadium and Rio de Janeriro chatedral.

#2 Bogotá's Gold Museum

Next, we join @smeralda as she takes us to Colombia's capital, Bogotá and its emblematic gold museum. She and her husband took a 2 hours long tour where they walked through each of the exhibition halls and read the information related to gold and its relationship with Colombian culture. The museum is loaded with mysticism and associated with the shamans and there are a lot of elements combined including; mining, metallurgy, prehispanic culture and customs full of symbolism.

#3 Exploring Old Town San Diego

Finally, @dfinney shows us Old Town San Diego, which is a neighborhood, historic site, museum and a shopping district. It also marks the location of the first Spanish settlement in California. When walking through old town there are hundreds of opportunities to shop for Mexican Folk Art. There's pottery, clothing, jewelry, textiles and decorated Day of the Dead style skulls. Throughout the year, the Old Town San Diego hosts entertainers and festivals. Most days mariachi musicians entertain visitors along with folklorico dancers.
