What a beautiful city, and your photos are fantastic, especially the one with the arch :-) I didn't realize how close Lienz is to Contina.
I love Belluno and we wanted to spend some time there, but we were never able to find the right accommodations.
Do you think at some point you might return to East Tyrol?
Lienz has for the most part retained its original character, although it has naturally adapted itself to tourists, especially from Italy. The Italian border on the South Tyrolean side is only about 30 kilometres away. I was in Belluno many years ago. It's a beautiful city!
Maybe I will settle down in my "Pension" in Lienz again. But first I would like to see some of the beautiful wide world; -)
