China 22: Talking about Avatar-landscapes, high heels in the mountains and damn narrow clefts [EN/GER]

After our delicious breakfast, we continue along the way, having continuously an incredible landscape around us.

There is still not that much going on. Soon, we reach an impressive stone bridge.

Well, does this motive seem familiar to you? Maybe someone of you has already seen it on the Amazon Firestick as a screensaver.

Then, we continue to a wonderful viewing platform. The way to get there is not that easy. First it goes steeply uphill, then you have to squeeze between a crevice and then climb up a shaky steel ladder.

Are we really fitting through that?

We really had to pull our shoulders in to get through the gap.

Later, we meet some very corpulent tourists. We have no idea how they made it through this damn narrow gap!

After this hurdle, the way to this viewing platform is not far away. And up there, we enjoy a great view.

As we make our way back, there is a Chinese woman in front of us - with extravagant clothing style and even more extravagant (according to the circumstances, we are actually in the mountains!) shoes.

We can only shake our heads over this vanity. Surely you cannot climb down the ladder with this footwear! Well, the lady managed to get off the platform without fractures - luckily!

From the observation deck (unfortunately we forgot the name) we continue to the Tianzi mountain, a famous hotspot in the national park.

When we arrive there with the little bus, we realize how popular this place really is: Once again, hundreds of tourists jostle on the platforms, boxing and shoving, to get in any case the best photo-shoot-position. And, by the way: taking the shuttle bus is really worthwhile and has nothing to do with laziness (at least in our case). You have to take it if you wanna see the best spots in the national park in such a short time.

Of course, we quickly have enough of the crowd and go a few meters further. Result: just as beautiful panorama, much less crowd and a lot of tranquillity. The "price" that you have to pay for it: a few feet of movement - that seems too exhausting for some tourists, which is why they are content with the crowded platforms.

Finally, we pass past the Mc Donald's. Yes, you are reading correctly.

In the middle of the mountains, next to the gondola, a Mc Donald's was opened. They are crazy, theses Chinese we think, and continue our hike.
Instead of thinking about such nonsense, we enjoy the landscapes and the peace that comes in as soon as you walk a few meters and go off the beaten track.

The more we get downhill, the more impressive the stone pillars look.

On the way, we also meet a strange carriage and have to really oppress laughing. Who comes up with the idea to actually be carried up the mountains?

And again we think: Chinese are little bit crazy ;-)

Von Avatar-Landschaften, Highheels im Gebirge und verdammt engen Felsspalten

Nach unserem leckeren Frühstück laufen wir weiter den Weg entlang. Fortwährend erstreckt sich eine unglaubliche Landschaft vor uns.

Immer noch ist nicht ganz so viel los. Bald kommen wir an eine beeindruckende Steinbrücke.

Na, kommt euch das Motiv bekannt vor? Vielleicht hat es jemand von euch schon auf dem Amazon-Firestick als Bildschirmschoner gesehen.

Felssäulen, wohin das Auge reicht

Danach geht es weiter zu einer wundervollen Aussichtsplattform. Der Weg dorthin ist gar nicht so einfach. Zuerst geht es steil bergauf, dann muss man sich zwischen einem Felsspalt quetschen und anschließend noch eine wacklige Stahlleiter emporklimmen.

Passen wir da wirklich durch?

Wir mussten wirklich unsere Schultern einziehen, um durch den Spalt zu gelangen.

Später begegnen uns einige sehr korpulente Touristen. Wir haben keinen blassen Schimmer, wie die es durch diesen verdammt engen Spalt geschafft haben!

Nach dieser Hürde ist der Weg zu dieser Aussichtsplattform nicht mehr weit. Und oben angekommen genießen wir eine tolle Aussicht.

Als wir uns auf den Rückweg machen, ist eine Chinesin vor uns – mit extravagantem Kleidungsstil und noch extravaganteren (zumindest den Umständen entsprechend, wir sind schließlich im Gebirge!) Schuhen.

Wir können nur den Kopf schütteln über diese Eitelkeit. Trittsicher kann man mit diesem Schuhwerk bestimmt nicht die Leiter herunterklettern! Nun, die Dame schafft es ohne Knochenbrüche wieder runter von der Plattform – zum Glück!

Von der Aussichtsplattform (leider haben wir den Namen vergessen) aus gehen wir dann weiter zum Tianzi Berg, einem berühmten Hotspot im Nationalpark.

Dass dieser Platz tatsächlich sehr beliebt ist, erfahren wir bei unserer Ankunft mit dem Shuttle-Bus: Wieder einmal drängeln sich hunderte Touristen auf den Plattformen, boxen und schupsen sich, um auf jeden Fall die beste Bildposition zu bekommen. Übrigens: Den Shuttle-Bus zu nehmen, lohnt sich wirklich und hat (zumindest in unserem Fall) nichts mit Faulheit zu tun. Nur so kann man die besten Spots im Nationalpark in so kurzer Zeit sehen.

Wir haben vom Gedränge natürlich schnell genug und gehen ein paar Meter weiter: Ergebnis: genauso schönes Panorama, deutlich weniger Gedränge und viel Ruhe. Den „Preis“, den man dafür zahlen muss: einige Meter Bewegung – das scheint für einige Touristen wohl zu anstrengend, weshalb sie mit den überfüllten Plattformen Vorlieb nehmen.

Zum Abschluss des Tages laufen wir noch am Mc Donald’s vorbei. Ja, ihr lest richtig.

Inmitten des Gebirges, direkt neben der Gondel, wurde ein Mc Donald’s eröffnet. Die spinnen doch, die Chinesen denken wir, und laufen daran vorbei.

Anstatt uns weiter über so einen Unsinn aufzuregen, genießen wir die Landschaften und die Ruhe, die einkehrt, sobald man einige Meter läuft und off the beaten track kommt.

Je tiefer wir kommen, desto imposanter wirken die Felssäulen.

Wir begegnen auf dem Weg bergab auch einem kuriosen Gespannt und müssen uns hier wirklich das Lachen verkneifen. Wer kommt auf die Idee, sich tatsächlich den Berg hochtragen zu lassen?
