Explore with me #4: Admont - Austria

today i want to share with you a special place that is very close to my heart. admont is a town in the austrian state of styria. it is historically most notable for admont abbey, a monastery founded in 1074. gesause national park, in which admont lies, is an area of outstanding beauty. the town is situated in the middle of the ennstal alps.

up on a beautiful mountain you can see the stunning baroque castle röthelstein. this is the castle i got married in over a year ago. it is situated high in the mountains above the village of admont and is known due to its benedictine monastery. it is also the perfect starting point for various hikes in the beautiful region. 

its romantic tower and gallery rooms with beautiful views, a gorgeous courtyard and the knights hall, a small castle chapel for weddings and the beautiful castle gardens compose an unique atmosphere. the castle is a place of inspiration and tranquillity. i was so excited when i found this beautiful treasure during my wedding planning.
