☀️Construction was delayed by 40 years until King Phillip III ordered it to be finished in the year 1617.
💧The statue in the middle is of the King himself. However the sculpture has only been in the plaza since 1848.
🌳Over the years this plaza has hosted everything from bullfights and soccer matches to public executions and fine dining.
