DaLat - A Little Paris At Vietnam - A City With Special Things (Part -1)

Introduce

Dalat is a famous tourist city of Vietnam and is the capital of Lâm Đồng Province.
The city is located 1,500 m (4,900 ft) above sea level on the Langbian Plateau in the southern parts of the Central Highlands region. Da Lat is a popular tourist destination with inside and outside tourist.

The City With Many Diferent Nicknames

According to some sources, the name derives from the acronym of the Latin phrase 'Dat Aliis Laetitiam Aliis Temperiem' ("It Gives Pleasure to Some, Freshness to Others"), which the French colonial government used in their official emblem of Đà Lạt. In reality, the name Da Lat derived from the language of the local ethnic group Lạt and its original meaning is "Stream of the Lạt", and the acronym above is in fact a backcronym.(source: wikipedia)
Da Lat is the main name of city but in this place have many different nickname like: City of a Thousand Flowers, City of a Thousand Palms, City in the Fog, Little Paris, City of thousands of pine trees, City of Eternal Spring ... or simplest is Flowers city
The most important make Da Lat have many nickname is the weather, the weather is biased for Da Lat has a temperate weather, low average temperature and temperature changes very clear in day. This create a suitable habitat for many plants and are conditions to develop many kinds of temperate plants.

The City With NO Traffic Lights

Da Lat is the only one of city have no traffic lights of Vietnam. Instead of that, Dalat have many roundabout. And why have no traffic lights, maybe because Dalat has many slopes, amount vehicles is low and Dalat people were friendly in traffic

The City Famous With Ghost Stories

Dalat famous with ghost stories, ghost house or ghost villas. When you visit here, you can hear this stories from local people. Have many story became famous and lot of traveler go to here only to find the answer for it. Today, Dalat had about 1300 villas and much contruction bearing the old French architecture. Some of the construction are abandoned and created ghost stories at here.
