Impression of Grand Canary May 2012/ Impressionen Cran Canaria Mai 2012 (bilingual inspired by @ines-f)

in the comments to my last post I was asked to write in German language and yesterday I read this post https://steemit.com/steemit/@ines-f/my-first-bilingual-post-das-erste-mal-zweisprachig. This got me inspired to write a bilingual post as well. And here it goes...
For the start of writing in both languages I want to share some pictures and impressions from my trip to grand canary in may 2012 with you. In meinem ersten zweisprachigen Artikel möchte ich meine Bilder und Eindrücke meines Cran Canaria Urlaubs mit euch teilen.

First shot is from the hotel balcony. Here is the link to the hotel. http://www.gloriapalaceth.com It was a beautiful place to stay. Das erste Bild wurde vom Hotelbalkon aus geschossen. Das Hotel kann ich nur empfehlen. Der Link zum Hotel steht oben.

Hiking in the mountains and the volcanic soil. Wanderung durch die Berge und vulkanische Erde.

It was a guided tour through the north western part of the island. The guide was a German living there for several years. Due to the offseason it was only a small group of 6 but it was fun and thanks to the German guide a very interesting trip. Die Wanderung im Nord-Westen der Insel wurde von einem dort lebenden Deutschen geleitet. Aufgrund der Nebensaison waren wir nur 6 Leute hatten aber viel Spaß und dank des deutschen Guides einen sehr informativen Ausflug.

Hiking in the volcanic landscape was very impressive. Die Wanderung durch die vulkanische Landschaft war sehr beeindruckend.

The Hotel is located in the south west of the island. The coast is mostly cliff coast with a few beaches. There we went on a boat trip for whale watching ;-) got to see a pot of dolphins. Das Hotel befindet im Süd-Westen der Insel. Dort ist hauptsächlich Steilküste mit nur wenigen Stränden zu finden. Bei einer Bootstour konnten wir eine Whale und eine Delfinschule beobachten.

First time scuba diving in the ocean. Zum ersten Mal tauchen im Ozean.

We had booked a trip for beginners but due to an accident at the normal spot for newbies was not available. Therefore we had to go to a depth of 15m. A little bit scary for a total beginner but it was fun. But now I know why they are wedging into a wetsuit. I was shaking afterwards. Wir hatten einen Anfängerkurs gebucht mussten aber wegen eines Unfalls im Tauchgebiet für Neulinge an einen anderen Ort ausweichen. Dort ging es direkt auf 15m. Etwas beängstigend aber trotzdem spaßig. Aber weiss jetzt ich warum man sich in einen Neoprenanzug reinquetscht. Ich hab anschließend vor kälte nur so gezittert.
