USA-TRIP 2019 Route66: CHICAGO -> LA -> SAN FRANCISCO (part 1)
-English Text below-

Lakers spielten.
Bleibt gesund!
Euer Patrick
As promised, I will start my report on this year's USA trip, albeit a little late. As always in such a case, the whole thing starts with the approach to the States. In our case it was clearly Chicago, because this is where Mother Road starts. And not far from here, in Middlebury IN, we received our motorhome.
But let's stick to our first two days in Chicago:
The approach to Chicago O'Hare was quite classical over Lake Erie and over the skyline of Chicago.
By the way, I took this picture from the onboard entertainment screen. Look where I flew over Greg @gregbit and Margaret @margaretwise

After the landing and the following entry we went to the hotel, where we had to check in for a short time. Afterwards basketball was the order of the day. So we went by Uber-Taxi to the United Center, where the Bulls played against the L.A. Lakers that evening.
One day time should be taken for a city for Chicago. Route66 can wait that long. Sightseeing in an exciting metropolis:
This is where the adventure was supposed to start. For us, however, the journey over the Mother Road started in Middlebury IN, where we received our rental motorhome. I will report about this in the next days.
I wish you all a nice Sunday! Stay healthy!
Yours,
Patrick

gute reise mein lieber freund...
Hallo Daniel, mein Freund!
The city looks very beautiful at the night time :)
Indeed it does! Thanks a lot, Cleopatra! :)
Awesome photos @pipurilla It sounds as though you had a fabulous trip to the US. 😊
Thanks a lot, Trudee,
Indeed, I had a great trip. After we did it in 2017 in only 9 days with detours to Las Vegas and Grand Cañon, this time, we had 15 days without detour. It was less stress this time.
That's great to hear Patrick. You have to take these opportunities when you can and the less stress during traveling the better. 😊
Wow, Patrick!! @pipurilla I knew you were coming, but, have lost that touch with you to know of your travel plans. How exciting to start in Chicago. My brother-in-law and wife live there, so it is one of the places I have loved well.It is an exciting city with so much to see.
Glad you got to take in the Bulls game while you were there! :)
I am so happy you blog this experience, this wonderful way to see the world. One trip at a time. I know you are going to have a fabulous time and I hope to check in on you and see how the trip down Route 66 goes!
Love to you and yours!

Thank you so much, Denise, also for sending Tipu! 😊
Yes, it was a fantastic trip and I'm really looking forward to post about it. I'll try to post the next stage today before I leave to Switzerland tomorrow, where I follow my family. They are at my in-laws since last Saturday, but I'm a bit short with days off, so I can only follow. But I'll be back next week.
Have a great day, Denise!
How nice, Patrick!!! Off you go again!
I loved when you went to Switzerland last time and the pictures were simply incredible. Oh, if we could only have endless time on our hands, right?
I look forward to the post and have a safe and wonderful trip!
