I definitely recommend to everyone to visit the ZOO in Prague. Before you enter the ZOO I recommend buying a "zoo plan". It's a feed schedule for individual animals. So you can see the animals when feeding them. I've been in the ZOO two times and I would like to go there again.

Transportation

There is a bus line 112 from Holešovice to the zoo. Along the Vltava there are parking places for tour buses and cars. The are is also attractive for cycling but the ZOO is not equipped with a bicycle storage room.
The upper and lower part of the zoo has been connected since 1977 with a chairlift. There is also a road train along the garden.

Animals 🐅 🐘 🐧

Elephant valley: a few meters long walkway around the valley of the elephants. Animals are in close proximity so you can make beautiful photos. You can watch them feeding or just playing with their babies

The Hippopotamus Pavilion, opened in 2013, offers visitors an extraordinary experience. The spacious indoor and outdoor pools are equipped with large windows under the surface. Enjoy the underwater acrobatics of hippos in which the multi-tune colossus turns into unexpectedly graceful swimmer!

The Lemur Exhibition, opened in 2005, has the form of an island that separates from the surrounding area 3.5 m wide water ditches connected by cascades.
As soon as the visitors cross the entrance, they will find themselves among free-moving animals. Lemmers can run around on the roads or on the ropes right above people's heads, climb the trees, but also go to a place where people can not get, where they find more peace and privacy if needed.
