Travel photos of South Korea, plenty to see and do.

Korea is a great place to visit, there is loads of interesting things to see, markets, historical sites, good food and a vibrant culture. I thought I'd share a couple of my pictures with you from a recent visit.

We started in Suwon, an ancient city, which is surrounded by strong city walls built in the late 1700's. Of course, these days, the city extends far beyond those walls.

A major lookout turret in the city wall, used to keep a lookout for advancing enemies, these structures were continually occupied.

The toilet museum - totally worth a visit just because you won't find anything else like it.

Then we travelled south to Gyeongju which was once the capital of the mighty Silla kingdom between 57AD - 935AD. They have these enormous grassy hills which are burial tombs covered in rock and earth to protect them from grave robbers.

Then to Seoul, South Korea's capital and largest city.

The huge fish market here will stimulate your senses. And you can pick up cheap sashimi for lunch

I don't know what these fish are but I can't say they appeal to me, with their guts all hanging out like that... Can someone tell me how Koreans eat these? I was recommended to stay away from seasoned skate by a waiter and after reading about it, I can understand why. Maybe I'll be staying away from this too.
