Glass Beach, Oregon. Feeding my Sea Glass addiction on this road trip pitstop
I am crazy about sea glass! Hours can tick away in a moment when I am searching beaches for the little treasures, washed up, tossed around and beaten down by the sea.
Fort Bragg, Oregon was a city founded as a military garrison after being originally settled by native americans. After it was abandoned by the military, it grew as a sawmill town.
For sea glass lovers like myself, it is the perfect mix of crashing waves, open waters and small shelf pebble beaches. This mix of elements is how the sea glass is made: glass from many sources including fishermen losing their glass buoys to the wild waters to bottles and other discarded garbage.
In little less than 30 minutes, I had collected a small bag of these treasures.
