Navigatio #2, see through my eyes: Attabad Lake, Gojal Valley of Northern Pakistan
I have traveled and visited almost all the cities in Northern, Pakistan and this is one of my favorite spots. <3
This beautiful lake is the result of massive and deadly landslide at Attabad Village in 2010 leaving thousands of people homeless and killing many. Along with that, blocked Hunza river's flow for months.
When the water level raised, it formed a new lake which is now called, Attabad Lake or Gojal Lake. The minerals make it look blue and clear. Since northern Pakistan is cold most of the times of the year, we had to wear jackets and everything when we visited, Attabad Lake. The story is scary but spending hours there in the water I just fell in love with it and will always be ready to go back and visit again.
Wonderful place, never been there but surely will give a visit this year.
