9 Days Of Bliss
My wife & I just got back from spending nine days in the Central Australian outback and what an amazing trip it was. Despite the countless number of times we have been to the outback, each time it is a different experience.
This time we did part of the Oodnadatta track where once the Ghan Railway ran from Adelaide to Alice Springs (1888 - 1980). The many Ghan remains took us down a nostalgic route whilst the landscape dating back several hundred million years had us in awe every turn we took.
I will do a more detailed post in the coming days. In the meantime, I wanted to share with you a few images from this amazing trip.
Gibber Plains in the middle of the desert country.

Woomera - once of the largest missile (and atomic bomb) testing centres in the world. Also the launch centre of Australia's first satellite WRESAT in 1967. Third country in the world to launch their own satellite.
Live life to the fullest, it's too short to procrastinate!

Looks like a fun trip, and those drone shots (I'm going to assume they're drone shots as you're unlikely to tell us if you have access to a Skynet level satellite XD) are amazing!
Yes they are drone shots. Would be nice though to have access to a satellite :D

Yes the weather was perfect. But just once, for the experience, I would like to try it in the height of summer. Did something similarly crazy back in Africa. Will never do it again, but was a different experience.
Ah in summer it will rain alot depending on the cyclone tracking once they head inland.
Respect to you for doing Africa the same way as well. Not many people can say that. I look forward to more of your posts about travel.

I grew up in Africa (Botswana, Zambia, South Africa) so the local knowledge helped a lot in my travels. Aus is my new home, so every journey is a new discovery.
