House of Vans, London - Teaching a Girl to Skate

By chance, we ended up at the House of Vans in London. We didn't know it, but we had been staying in a flat just across the street!

Our last night in London there was a street fair just outside our flat and the House of Vans had a booth there. (sidenote: they gave away really nice screenprinted tshirts and bags, stickers and keychains - if you are there during a street fair, hunt them down!)
They informed us that is was Ladies Night, and the girls should go over and skate for a while!
Hayden had just bought a Penney board in Bad Tolz, Germany a few days before and was stoked to give it a try. Both of the girls jumped at the idea.

Here is a little video of the awesome ladies helping them improve their skating skills. This was Hayden's first go at it - starting in style!

Hayden even met a girl her age that is an accomplished skater - complete with tutu. This girl rocks. I think they had as much fun chatting as they did skating.

So you know - if you check out the House of Vans in London they have ladies skate nights where it is free to come try it out. We discovered the women there are really kind and will go out of their way to help.
