Regardless of where you came from, one should always schedule a BACK HOME VISIT. This doesn’t only bring the family together but also reminds you of your background, struggles, your early beginnings and how far you have come. This also provides and gives you new strength and hope to keep pressing on until you achieve your goals in life.

ON ARRIVAL

A WARM WELCOME RECEIVED FROM A FAMILY BROTHER

You know, one pleasing experience about my village is the way you are treated. You get the opportunity to eat whatever you so desire. The first thing I did on arrival was to prepare my favorite - BANKU and PEPPER with SMOKED FISH. In case you have never heard of BANKU before: it's prepared from a mixture of fermented Cassava dough and Corn dough.

Apart from farming, the major occupation in my village is fishing. After visiting the farm in the morning, we get ourselves prepared for fishing. Bellow are some of the pics.

Though life has been challenging its always a good idea, especially to me, to forget about the straggles and all the challenges of life and to go back home to have a refreshed mind, soul, and spirit.
