Stopping to smell the roses
Sometimes we all get caught up in our day to day lives we forget to stop and look around. I am more guilty of this than most since I spend all day moving. I am trying to make an effort to explore the areas around me when I do stop.
I took this picture in Salt Lake City, UT some time ago and it just reminded me how much I can miss if I don't look. It's a beautiful landscape in many places, even if the view if from the highway. Even though this is a great view of the grander scheme of things it's just as beautiful if not more so as you look a little smaller.
I often see water coming down the rocks in the mountains as I pass through them oblivious to the beauty above and below but seeing them frozen in time certainly caught my eye. It is the things like these that remind me no matter how bad the conditions get that I should stay safe and appreciate my surroundings because I'm one of the lucky ones able to experience them.
That's about all for today, I look forward to the next opportunity to post, hopefully I can keep it up every few days.
I should note I do not have a professional grade camera, unless otherwise noted all my pictures are taken with my phone and the only editing I will do is crop them.
