Sorry for the very late reply. I had it in my mind, but somehow forgot.
What I meant was the glow around the contours, e.g. in the last image on the line between the blue sky and the tree in the background. The glow is results from local-adaptation tone-mapping. If you use global tone-mapping, then it may give better results and a more natural look. Play around with the values, e.g. in Lightroom. When you get something good, just save it as preset :)
